UPDATE to our previous post regarding the Welwood Murray Memorial Library.
A Palm Springs city councilmember has appealed a decision to block the unsympathetic remodeling of the Welwood Murray Memorial Library, built in 1940 by John Porter Clark. The appeal, unless withdrawn by the councilmember, may be heard by the city council as early as 6 p.m. on November 17, 2010.
The Palm Spring Preservation Foundation is asking for your help!
There are three ways you can make a difference:
1. Attend the city council meeting and make public comment
2. Attend the city council meeting to show your support and concern
3. Email cityclerk@palmsprings-ca.gov asking that your note be forwarded to the city council and placed in the official record.
